    2015-2016 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

    To my fellow FES Members,
This year is truly an exciting year with the celebration of our society's 100th Anniversary. To help celebrate this historical event we are creating a unique and hopefully inspiring incentive program for membership. As your Vice President of Finance, I presented the attached write up about membership at the last state board meeting in August which I hope you will take the time to read. The membership committee through their leadership took this message and has developed it into a membership drive combining it with our Centennial Anniversary. It is called "Strenghth and Honor for the Next 100 Years".

The message is simple, "Everyone Get One". If everyone takes this message to heart, we will double our great society to over 6,000 members. Why is this important? As my article indicates there is strength in numbers. Strength in having a collective voice to promote and protect our profession at the legislative level. Strength in the ability to promote engineering through our great programs such as MATHCOUNTS and K-12. Strength through networking, creating strong relationships to create working opportunities for you and your firm. Strength in developing your personal professional growth through great technical seminars and leadership programs like The Florida Engineering Leadership Institute. Also there is strength in creating a financially strong society that will have the resources to provide the benefits and programs that we want and need. There is no more honorable profession than the engineer in my opinion and there is not a better society that represents those ideals than the Florida Engineering Society. I know you all believe this because you are already a member. Now it's time for you to share that with your firends and colleagues and show them how valuable the Florida Engineering Society is to every Engineer. It is my honor to present you with this membership drive program and I make my pledge to you that I will go out and get one. I hope you will join me in this pledge.
